Camp Rheumies is a weekend camp for teenagers 13-17 years with a systemic rheumatologic diagnosis treated at Cook Children’s. The purpose of Camp Rheumies is to provide teenagers, who have a systemic rheumatic disease with a safe, engaging, and rewarding camp experience.
Camp RISE serves families from Cook Children’s Medical Center who have experienced a traumatic event. While at camp, families are given the opportunity to process their trauma, build coping skills and resiliency, meet other families who have experienced a traumatic event, and grow together as a family through fun activities. Camp is available for patients between 6 and 16 and their families.
Camp PHEnomenal serves campers with Phenylketonuria (PKU) and other alike disorders.
Camp Morning Star serves families of patient's who have died in the last year from Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX. Camp Morning Star provides families with an opportunity to process their experiences with grief, meet families who have experienced loss, and enjoy doing activities as a family.
